Does this World need God and Religion

Then you will perceive my strength when your hope is absolute and your belief is resolute.

I am an Atheist turned Deist. For this, as I am about to state few supportive arguments to be a theist doesn't mean I am a devout or any of the content doesn't mean to disparage any of your theistic beliefs or your Deity.

 

Irrespective of the inception of the civilization in various parts of the world, the most common aspect that emerged out of fostering human mind is the existence of eternal power and religious practices. In fact most of the civilizations now prevailing are based on these religious principles and practices. One of the few questions that kept haunting me till now is that, whether, this world really need God and Religion? Thus few dissent with this issue, called Atheist and the converse called Theist.

 

I never could able to draw out a plausible  answer, for, I had never attended for religious preaching  or proselytizing sermons, until I read a book by Joseph Murphy THE POWER OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. It doesn't teach about Theism, asceticism or sacramental practices. It manifested me, a little inconspicuous functional secret of human brain. For the people who had already read this book, are well aware of  what I am talking about, and for whom this book is a stranger, I recommend you to read this book asap or at least listen to his lectures. Better to listen lectures cause I found the book as the most elaborate description for the most simplest thing in this Universe. Well, many of you might find it obnoxious to read these kind of books anyway.

So, what's that little secret? To elucidate it lucidly, we live in two worlds. One is the world of perception and other is the world of Belief. one couldn't satisfy in the world of perception, for, it is always changing. it might be the taste of food, fervor of the loved one, passion or determination. It only muddles our brain every second. belief, it doesn't deal with rationalistic thinking. If I love him/her, God help me in adversity, I will get cured for he have those omniscient  powers. these things are neither rationally derived or they can be comprehended. A belief claims no explanation or reason. A belief is not a statement, it is a power. A power that guides the action of our perception. For what you believe thus your actions will be.

 

As mentioned earlier, people are not usually satisfied with the perceptional action and responses, cause they give the restricted sense of explanations with requisites and provisos, and certainty depends on them. In a simple sense the answer we seek in it depends on the  entities present outside our body and get altered with the change of place, time and situation. it isn't easy to get the desired response.

 

Belief, in a strange sense, creates it own environment in our brain. When a statement turns into belief, it changes its territory it resides effects senses and action. So, when the situation comes where your own held conviction won't fit in, belief has the power to blind your perceptions and clear the situation where it wont fit in. It can be seen in extreme devout, fanatics ad few people in love. It's just a firmly held view engraved on your brain over a long period of time. This is the concept on which the concept of psychiatry works. So, is it good to just keep beliefs where it can't be rationalized into good and bad. well, it depends on what we seek and what we practice. In this instance let me tell you an event that happened.

 

A decade ago, my grandfather from mother side met with an accident and had crumpled left leg. he got operated twice or thrice. He met a number of physicians. Because of his crushed bone and snipped nerves, it will be impossible for him to walk normally. All his tendon nerves are dead and he has to depend on clutched and braces. He got distraught and despondent. he quit walking for two months and then he came across an Evangelist. This Evangelist happened to hear about my grandfather's partial paralysis and if not mutilated, his body parts will be infected. He came to my grandfather and said, "Jesus sent me to help you. he understood your suffering. He told that he will get you back to your normal self. You got nothing to loose. All you have to do is to believe him  and keep faith in him (As it is in my grandpa's words). My grandpa was an atheist but nobody is there to help him to recover to his normal self. Even his two sons and his daughter were busy in their own life. Not even the physicians. He got only his wife. That evangelist's words filled a little hope in him. He got nothing to loose by walking to the nearby church often with my grandma's support and sometimes with and clutched and two months later, he begun to feel his leg, and an year later, he begun walking with a hand stick. Though he couldn't able to saunter like before, at least he could able to trudge unsteadily. So whenever anyone comes to beseech him how made his paralyzed limb work or had he been operated by  a specialist. He answered, 'Yes, I was operated by the most powerful person known and I am mended with belief and faith I kept on him when I am marooned. All I spent is my great devotion and faith in him.

 

So, Do you think he could completely believe that he can be normal again if he rationalized it on the words of the physician who said that the limb can never work with the words of the evangelist? Its a perceptional solution and a plausible answer for my grandpa's condition. you might have seen sever cases like this. So, why is this belief has to be god? When you are crippled and when you lost everything, who will say "don't worry I am there for you and I will help you"? when every possible person lifted their hands and left you in despair. Before you give up or you die, call him. Call your strength. Call your god. He is aid. HE can make things work for you, like nobody else does.  He reflects every belief of you and only he can do it. Isn't that a hope to live and other salutary day. Whoever and whatever come and go in life, your god inside you will always be with you until you die, who helps you and guides you. Atheist calls it belief  and Theist calls it God. What ever happens, it happens in our own brain. It is known to the world as god and it is Omnipotent and Omnipresent.

God is given name for belief, hope and principles. They are in your own brain and you follow it called religion.

God is a belief, A belief we follow. A belief we serve. As answer to the unanswered, hearkens to the inhered

The true meaning of belief serves purpose of satisfaction, happiness and hope that never be vanquished.
