TeamWork and Why does it fail?
So, many of us are well familiar with the positive aspects of the team work in reducing the mental pressure, division of larger work into smaller fragments to deal and speeding up the process but what we are unfamiliar is that the basic requirements of the teamwork and the probability of its failure under general conditions. Well, in the present corporate training centers they will exalt the necessity of the team work as the most important part of the corporate work culture but we never knew that it adds more or less the reason for the failure of work production producing the massive wastage of work time and effort. In order to understand this, we need to learn a few things about the teamwork which you may or may not find in certain books.
Usually Teamwork is of two types.
1. where different person persons group together to complete a task where the tasks assigned to different persons in the group are not interdependent on each other. For instance, Household chores, which are independents to each other but the family works as a team (Excluding monetary functions).

2. Where people are grouped together to complete a task chain broken into fragments which are dependent on each other and should be achieved in a particular and with equal competence which otherwise doesn't produce the desired output.
So, the second type of the teamwork which we usually observe in the corporate companies are more susceptible to failures and government organizations are debacles. In order to make a team to work properly we need to expend more energy, time and mental effort which is more costlier than ever in the society there by increasing the cost of production with it. Teamwork also reduces the quality of output as we can't ensure the quality of each fragment that are to be bounded together. So mostly in a teamwork they perform what they called better fit compromising to "if it fits and runs better now then it is okay".

Teams work runs well only in two cases. One is the the members of the team are well programmed machines and other is that if the team is comprised of equally competent people and proper relation between them. Don't have an illusion that a team can be run properly by a efficient leader, even that efficient team leader is who creates properly friendly relationship between people in the group. If any of these two things are not satisfied then it is more likely that team would fail completely or fails to produce a better output.
So, it is advised that when one is competent enough to complete a work then better do it instead of depending on division of work. This will produce the better quality or else it is advised that when you put on a team together then they are competent enough for the best quality of work and proper relation exists between the people of the group or else it would end as a disaster.
Due to the lack of both competence and also the relations, most of the government projects ends as debacles.
