Usually, a country where the rate of availability of the basic health and educational facilities within the reach of everybody in the domain determines the prosperity of the nation. The health care and the quality of the life of the people can be determines by the life expectancy and the death rate in a country. Though they are not the sole factors to determine the quality of life, accessibility of the people to safe drinking water, planned sanitation facilities, proper utilization of resources, clean environment for a person to lice are the basic deciding factors determining the quality of life.
With respect to this, taken 60% on India living in villages and rural areas, which doesn’t imply rural areas and villages are tend to be devoid of sanitation and cleanliness to live, considering the general sense of life style of the village poor in the present generation, and their unhealthy habits and 38% of the Indians being uneducated and 23% living below poverty line and 90% of employed being in unorganized sector with no wage, social or employment security are the prime victims of bad environmental, ecological and economical impacts, which involves middle class. lower middle class and poor people. Given the high dependency on the land and daily wages for the survival, any fluctuations in the economy or the climate is going to be a disastrous effect on greater proportion of the people of the country. The global economy something can be controlled and sometimes goes out of hands and climate which is so unpredictable given the situation and circumstances there are certain things which can be controlled effecting the lives of the people in a developing countries like India are widely neglected. This include health and education for the people. From the above circumstances we can understand that the probability of getting victimized because of pollution and unhealthy ways of life are high among the lower middle class and poor. After the economic reforms in India and following the guideline of world bank after borrowing huge loans for the development there is a constant reduction in the expenditure of the government on social welfare schemes in 90s and 20s and we can say that now India is following a mild Rogue Individualism given this huge population and high competition. India spends least per cent of its GDP on health and education and one of the least in emerging economies. Given the employment, security and wages, though medical costs are moderate in India, most of the people could afford them. A day of absence from work for a daily labor will cost him a day wage, medical expenses and resource intake which is not getting balanced with the income he earn ripping his life into shreds. for the middle class, it will cost their savings or sometimes getting into huge debts which will hurdle their growth and sometimes making them poor. Given its huge middle class population, it is not something the government in India should overlook.
Education is another place where people should have to spend bulk to get right quality education in India still can only be afforded by only few classes of people. The quality of education for most of the Indians remained sub-standard who most of the time supply India with cheap manual labor force. The cost of the standard quality of education is raising making it inaccessible for the poor and lower middle class of India who constitute larger proportion of population. Affordability of quality education became a hurdle for the individual growth and to unleash his/her true potential. Out of 72% literates only 20% of population has the necessary skills to perform a technical/non-tech task and the proportion in more among uneducated who could perform technical or non technical tasks larger than educated. This implies the poor planning and expansion and education in India. Giving more importance for getting degree than improvement of skill and knowledge is something making so many impotent youth in India and made it scarce of skilled labor.
The huge expenditures that should be made for obtaining quality education is making poor and lower middle class people remained underdeveloped, poor and a sector of constant supplier of cheap labor force in modern society and huge unorganized employment. The reluctance of the multinational organizations to make technical establishments in India due to the non availability of required skilled labor force.
Given these circumstances, there should be a major focus on the improvements of the lives of the people, providing better healthcare and education which can be achieved through proper planning and insight and training students to acquire skills required and improvement of the quality of service that can be expected which in turn leads to the development of economy and prosperity of the country. These are the things that can be achieved through proper planning of government and co-operation of people. It is the duty of the government to create opportunities for growth and extract economy from it's people. Unless we create ourselves the right opportunities of growth at basic levels life, what ever built on is bound to collapse someday and I wonder will we be left with the power to built ourselves again in this world.
